So since we're in Asia, cherry blossoms are a big deal here. So much so that there was a festival for it. We headed over with a family from the branch right after church.
I wish ya'll could've seen the looks Devon was getting from not only being so tall, but from having Melody on his shoulders. People were literally gawking and pointing. Devon sort of used to it by now seeing as he gets it time to time for his heigth. I think he secretly likes it.
As in every other part of Seoul, it was pretty crowded. Quick side story. So being from the South, I was raised with manners. Not that I am saying Koreans weren't, they are very respectful and polite people. But when I first got here I would apologize every time I would bump into somebody. Devon told me in the first week that you don't have to apologize cause since it is so crowded even the most polite person will shove you or push you out of the way without a second thought so they can get through. You pretty much have to or you will get washed away in the crowd. Espcially the subway station and what not. Whew! Talk about scary. :P
Ok so I would have to say this was the highlight of the festival. There are places around that is just so pretty you have to stop and take pictures. So we stopped and Devon and I saw this spot at the same time and thought the very same thing. So barely having to say anything, Devon climbs up and claims his spot.
As usual with Devon in Korea, all the natives stopped and stared. Many were taking pictures like it was a circus and he was going unbelievable tricks. Obviously you can tell Devon was soaking it up.
There was even a group of girls that were brave enough to climb up with him and take pictures with him. It was pretty funny how scared they were to climb up the tree. But you would've thought Devon was a celebrity to them and they would do anything to get their picture with him.
